Yup, that’s the title of Patrick Holford’s new “nationwide tour”, which offers advice on how to cope with “being easily stressed, not dealing with it well”.
Hmm. Pat certainly doesn’t seem to be dealing with the stress induced by my book Counterknowledge, judging by yet another snotty letter I had from him the other day.
But I have a question for him, drawing on his professorial… sorry, professional expertise. How does someone cope with no longer being a Visiting Professor at a minor British university? The loss of status must be awfully stressful. May I recommend Vitamin C?

Holford is certainly a prolific writer: it’s especially impressive that he is able to produce so many books while still finding time to contribute letters to his critics. Maybe it is the Vitamin C?

Well, at least now he isn’t weighed down with professorial duties.
Professor Holford will likely make boatloads more money doing this tour than he did working as a professor in his stuffy university or writing a blog no one reads.I say more power to him I can’t wait till he arrives in my town so I can give him some of my hard earned cash.

Probably the same folk that are slagging off that genericly modified food. If it wasnt for them we could all have mega cheep food.

I can foursee a time soon when all the lentils will run out, so we better get those genericly modified ones so these people can make medicines and sell them to the rest of the mugs.
One just never gives up using the title. It’s like marrying into the aristocracy - you might be married only for a matter of weeks but the title is for life (or so I hear).
May I also note the serendipity of Patrick Holford’s former co-author Jerome Burne’s expressing his alarm about addition in the Daily Mail: How doctors are turning millions of us INTO addicts. How fortunate that his anxiety on this matter came to a head just a couple of weeks in advance of the publication of Patrick’s book on the topic.
Those with a personal interest in the topic should start picking their veins now for the recommended IV vitamin infusions.
Why don’t we all sign up for the seminars [sic] that are part of Mr Holford’s book promotion tour? According to his website it is only £15. Presumably he will be taking questions from his critics in a spirit of constructive engagement?
